Snorrstofa is a medieval study centre in Reykholt which uncovers the fascinating history of the once-bustling town. It is dedicated to the well know medieval historian Snorri Sturlson. As well as local history, the centre explains the ways people lived, the customs, and the laws of medieval times in Iceland. The centre holds Iceland’s oldest document, which dates to the 12th century. It also features changing special exhibitions from time to time. The museum is only open in the summer months, and has an admission fee.
