Stórhöfði is reputedly the windiest place in Iceland. This rocky outcrop on the island of Heimaey at its southern tip is linked only by a narrow strip of land to the main part of the island. There is a meteorological station here. From the top of the ridge you have excellent views all around. You will see many nesting Puffins on the cliffs. There are a variety of paths leading from here back to the town, or down onto the beach.
