Stykkishólmur has a geothermal pool in its centre, which is a popular attraction amongst locals and visitors. This is one of the better pools in the area. It is an outdoor pool, and features hot pots, and water slides to add some entertainment for children. The pool is open every day of the year and charges a small admission fee for adults and kids. There is a sports centre alongside.
