Teigarhorn is situated approximately 4km west of the village of Djupivogur in East Iceland. It is a farm and was once home to Iceland’s first professional female photographer, Níkolína Weyvadt. The farm is more well known for being one of the most famous spots for Zeolites in the world. These are minerals created in the basaltic rock pores and have numerous uses all over the world. Nowadays the crystals are only allowed to be collected by the farmer and his family, although there is a small museum displaying them to the public.
