The Telecommunications Museum in Hafnarfjörður is dedicated to the communication systems in Iceland and how they have progressed over the years. The museum’s exhibition begins with the early settlement days in Iceland and tells the story of the development of the country’s postal and telephone systems up until the present day. The museum has a vast collection of artifacts and models- many of them original articles that were in use in the telephone systems of Iceland. The museum is open 11am-5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and admission is free.
