The Textiles Museum (Heimilisidnadarsafnid)in Blönduós is one of two museums in the town. This is quite a modern museum. It shows many different examples of local handicrafts, costumes and textiles produced in this region, and also many historic examples. The museum has regular exhibitions of different Icelandic textile artists and styles, and also has a permanent exhibition on local craftswoman and teacher Halldóra Bjarnadóttir. The museum is open in the summer and has an entrance fee for adults.
