Tungudalur is a valley to the west of Isafjordur in Iceland’s western fjords. It is a glaciated valley with steep sides which runs inland from the head of the fjord. The scenery here is perfect, and a number of hiking trails are on offer to explore the valley. Amongst the attractions are cascade waterfalls and birch forests. There’s also a golf course and camping ground to enjoy.
