Varmaland is a small town close to Borgarnes, slightly off Route number 1. The town has a boarding school, campsite, guest houses and small shops. There is also a swimming pool which is hugely popular amongst tourists to the area. The pool is outdoors, and heated, measuring 25 meters by 10 meters. The surroundings are beautiful and natural, and the area is also known for large scale mushroom production from a great market garden.
