This quaint, tiny wooden church in Vesturhop was built in 1879. It does not have anything to make it stand out from the crowd, but inside has a wonderful 17th century pulpit which has remained from the original church on the site. This is one of the oldest examples in Iceland. The original church here was only for the farming community, but it became a parish church in 1959. Visitors are welcome if the church is open.
